My husband took me into the ER this morning about 9:00 AM. My blood pressure was 229/129. Work up with a bad headache, and that seems to be when the blood pressure shoots up there. My doctor told me when it gets that high I need to go in. So I did. They did a ct scan, looking for a possible stroke. That was okay. Checked to see if my heart was okay. That was alright. Gave me something for the headache through entravenous. I stayed there on the table from 9:20 - 1:00pm. Got lots of rest anyway. The Doctor said I need to get into my Dr. and discuss things with him, possibly changing my blood pressure pills. Im okay now. I just checked it and Im getting a 165/95 which is better. Just letting you all know! Had to go to the Ear, Nose and Throat Dr. last week because I cant smell anything. Had result from a Ct scan they did before and it showed I had a stroke about 6 months or more ago. You think I wasnt surprised!
