My man Erik Preston absolutely nails the basics in explaining the deadlift. Especially at 4:18 about the importance of a neutral neck/spine, which means to basically relax the neck. No looking up, no looking down, no looking anywhere. Just lift. The deadlift is a basic movement completed everyday. We drop our cell phone, keys, etc. and when we pick them up, thats your chance to practice a basic movement. There is nothing wrong with practicing a movement, because the goal is to master it.
