My neighbors have gone to visit family and have asked my son and I to watch their dogs. What could go wrong you say? Last night before I headed out to the farm to milk, Wagon, the first dog pictured got startled and bolted as a car was driving by and it backfired startling all of us. My auto response when I flickered was drop what was in my hands, thus letting go of his leash. In an array of panic, took the other two dogs back home and started searching aimlessly in the dark and pouring rain. Nothing...his leash was attached so I knew the prospects of finding him last night were not good. I went to the farm about an hour and a half later, got back to the house around 11 and started searching until about 2 this morning. I was dreading having to tell Jo that her daughters dog was gone. When I awoke early this morning to let my dog out, to my surprise Wagon was back, but on my other neighbours front porch curled up, wet and shivering. I was so elated. These are the dogs...Wagon, Riggins and Bradley. Feeling thankful that I was spared of being the neighbor who lost their neighbors dog!
