My number is 8 by Grace Matz; 1. I love dressing well but I rarely do because if I cant do it perfectly, I wear sweats. No middle ground 2. I grew up at Blue Circle Ranch, truly grew up there since I was barely 5. My mom caught me hanging on a closet rod by my arms so I could get big enough to ride. Ida broke her usual rule and let me start lessons early. 3. After 47 years with horses, 32 in the business, Im still in awe of them and get butterflies when I see or touch them. 4. I have a Masters degree in counseling from a small program taught by two of the greatest minds in Christian Counseling history, Larry Crabb and Dan Allender. The program was personal and exclusive: only 50 chosen each year from hundreds of applicants. What I learned has impacted my life inside and outside the social service profession. 5. Glad I left the social service profession last year. I believe you can help people just as well without the constraints of the system. 6. Im not political but I vote. I believe in common sense and see it on both sides. My father was a WV State Senator, a Democrat to the core but I believe things have changed since those days. 7. I hate the trends of current society--its dehumanizing and superficial. I hate that children are not being taught to think and reason but to follow. 8. I love Jess Mays and Travis Mays with my whole heart even when Ive failed them, and I know I have.
