My opponent has accused me of negatively attacking her record. As an elected official her record is under public scrutiny everyday, every decision. The government is taking away our freedoms piece-by-piece, something I know a little bit about, and it is our responsibility and rights as taxpayers to question what our government does and why they do it. What she failed to address is the real issue: an overfunded debt service account to the tune of $14million dollars. That is $14 MILLION DOLLARS that could be educating our children, funding our public safety forces, or even paying down our debt. Instead, it is sitting idle and she is violating her own administrations policy. I am sorry if she cannot handle the tough questions but I plan to keep asking them! Vote Jim Durrett for Montgomery County Mayor!
