My thoughts on the STL Riots... It saddens me how the behavior of a few idiots can overshadow the discussion of the balance between policing and protecting society. Its unfortunate there are two lives that are destroyed, the life of Mr. Brown who was taken and the officer that pulled the trigger. May we all pause for a moment of civility and human dignity to prevail above echoes of hatred, ignorance and misunderstanding. I believe we are at a defining moment, lets not abort the process by defaulting to violence. I would love to see the same anger displayed when black on black violence occurs. Instead of looting Quick Trip lets evict the drug dealers and thugs. Lets rebuild, reconnect and refocus our intentions to achieve a last change.
