NAIL TREATMENT WARNING: Just warning anyone in the Balmain, Rozelle area wanting a manicure or pedicure at Endato Day Spa in Rozelle. BEWARE! I wanted to treat myself before my holiday last month so decided to book in one day before my departure for manicure and pedicure at the local day spa as opposed to a local nail bar. I understood it would cost a little more but I was looking forward to a lovely treatment and a good job. I was a little more that surprised when I was told to lay down in a dimly lit room for my nail treatment. The lovely girl who was doing my pedicure wrapped a hot towel around one foot as she started working on the other. No foot soaking, no softening of the cuticle, no cuticle removal, no heel scrub ..... when I asked her why I wasnt getting any of the above the response was that I only asked for a 30min pedicure. Hmmmmmm.... then another lovely girl came in to do my 30min manicure. Once again, no soaking, no cuticle removal etc ..... Now remember the light was very dim with peaceful spa music playing. When I asked her if she thought she may need a light to see properly she answered no its ok, my eyes have been trained the work with dim light. You get used to it........... Hmmmmm........... Well needless to say I was NOT happy wit hthe fail results and calmly voiced my concerns when I went to pay at the front desk. When I asked the girl at the front desk why there was no treatment to speak of and why it cost $130, she said, I was paying for the experience. She may have forgotten that I was actually there to get a good manicure and pedicure. Not only was the work I had done on my hands and feet the worst ever but the charge for the privilege was $130!. When she saw my nails she kindly gave me a $30 discount so the cost now was $90. She said she would tell the manager but no contact has been forthcoming since the 30th June nor was there an offer of a replacement treatment. Hmmmmm........ Now I rarely complain publicly about things like this but when I arrived in London 24hrs after my treatment my girlfriend was so horrified by what she saw we took photos. I arrived back last week and have only downloaded those pictures. See for yourself how bad this was. DO NOT GO THE ENDOTA DAY SPA in ROZELLE for your nail care! there is no care! PS: Note in one of the pics the little nail on the left hand has an exta coat of colour on it.
