Immediate openings Lawrence and Haverhill MA operating for NECC Campus The ideal candidate will transport college students, to and from various local college campus destinations, while creating a welcoming and safe environment. This person will operate a radio or similar device to communicate with base station or other vehicles to report the status of service. Job duties Include: Assisting passengers to and from the vehicle as needed Operating vehicle in a safe and lawful manner, while observing all traffic regulations. Operating vehicle in a courteous manner, recognizing that the route traveled in heavily congested and residential areas. Reporting all potential service & maintenance problems to the Supervisor in a timely fashion & ensuring proper upkeep of vehicle. Carry out other tasks as designated by the Director of Public Safety and Transportation Minimum requirements: Current valid Massachusetts Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with passenger endorsement. At least 1 year of professional driving experience of a van or shuttle (preferred). Clean, safe driving record. Knowledge of greater Lawrence and Haverhill, Ma. area Exceptional customer service and communication skills. Ability to safely use radios, phones, GPS devices or any other equipment required while on duty. Must have a High School Diploma or GED Professional appearance Good written and verbal skills Speak fluent English and Spanish (preferred) Must have a clean criminal record & be able to pass a drug screen.
