*NEGATIVE STATUS ALERT* *READING PAST THIS POINT WILL SUBJECT YOU TO MY NEGATIVE VIEW POINT AND COMMENTING THAT I HAVE A NEGATIVE OUTLOOK ON THIS WILL ONLY MAKE YOU LOOK LIKE AN IDIOT SINCE YOU HAVE BEEN CLEARLY WARNED THAT THIS IS GOING TO BE NEGATIVE* I went to Chilis after placing an order for pick-up and I noticed that the receipt has a GRATUITY GUIDE included based on my bill amount. Now me personally Im a standard tipper. If I placed my order and all you do is bring it out to me (since I know its not the cook getting the tip and he cooked it and most the time bagged it at the places I ordered from) I tip a flat $5. No matter how little or how large my order. I dont feel that people that pick up their own orders should be subject to the 15, 18, 20, & 22% gratuity guide. First the fact that I tipped you at all for handing me my bag for an order I placed online and the cook placed into that bag for you to hand to me, along with my own fuel usage should say a lot. Especially when I watched the kitchen staff place the bag on the shelf right behind you for you to simply reach back and grab. Second the fact that you roll your eyes after I tipped you $5 on a $27 order which is more than 18% gratuity for you to hand me my bag and run my card (all that occurred for you in a 2 foot space by the way) makes me want to take that tip money back, even though I wont. The audacity of some people who barely work and expect more astounds me. I just tipped you $5 to move less than 2 feet and took up less than 2 minutes of your time so keep your eye rolls to yourself.
