OK, let see whats been happening. So what i thought was going to be a straight forward enough and short journey home has turned into quite the challenge. After the airline cancelled my ticket due to me not making a payment date for the rescheduling of the flight due to bike freighting delays, I made the decision that I would change my plans and go to Morocco instead. This would mean skipping out on Senegal, Mauritania, Western Sahara, but with all the issues- having no Carnet de Passage, security warnings, many more corrupt border crossings to deal with I figured I didnt care. My main mission was to get home after all, but with problem after problem since I left Buenos Aires 3000Km and nearly 2 months ago Im getting tired of fighting the situation. Now however it turns out that I cannot freight the bike to Morocco due to the airline insisting on charging for a standard vehicle weight of 3000kg. The bike, box and gear weigh 160kg. So I have hit another brick wall. I could look for another airline, but with the customs process having been complete already, i would be required to do it all again to change airlines. So Its not an option. So now I have asked them to look into flying the bike to southern Spain. Or failing that psych myself up again to go back to Plan A and Dakar. Which is no easy thing.
