NEUTERING 2014 - Each November we present our annual neutering figures at the Kapsa GM.Thought I would have a review last night and calculate year to date - Its great news! We have neutered 269 cats and 148 dogs from Kalkan AND the surrounding villages! Thats from the second week in November 2013 to the end of August 2014.Especially pleasing to see such a big increase in the number of dogs neutered from last year (2012/13 - 100). I know there are a few months to go before our year end but wanted to share this with you all.Imagine the amount of unwanted puppies and kittens we have stopped being born.Neutering is the only humane way of controlling the street animal population.A good number of those neutered had previously had litters and some were in season.Word of mouth and education is working...... This is all down to our wonderful volunteers,supporters and vets.THANK YOU ALL from all the animals and the community too.Less animals on the streets is good for everyone,everywhere......
