NEW YORK, NY – June 13, 2013 – The global fragrance industry honored 7-time Grammy winner Taylor Swift as their 2013 Fragrance Celebrity of the Year at last night’s Fragrance Foundation Awards, held at Lincoln Center in New York. The annual awards celebrate outstanding creative achievements in the world of perfumery. Taylor currently has three signature fragrances, Taylor by Taylor Swift (just released this week), Wonderstruck (the top selling celebrity fragrance of 2011), and Wonderstruck Enchanted, all with Elizabeth Arden. This weekend Taylor kicks off the Canadian leg of her RED Tour with two sold-out stadium shows at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, followed by an appearance at the MuchMusic Video Awards. The RED Tour is currently playing66 shows (including 13 stadium stops) in 47 cities in 29 states and 3 provinces in North America spanning six months in 2013. Taylor will take The RED Tour to Australia and New Zealand later this year, performing stadium shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth, as well as arena dates in Auckland. Taylor will be the first solo female artist in twenty years to undertake a national stadium tour of Australia, with the last being Madonna’s Girlie Show tour in 1993. Since its release last fall, Red has already sold more than 5.8 million copies worldwide, and the album’s third country single, the title track, ships to radio this week. The record’s previous two country singles, “Begin Again” and “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” both reached #1 on the Country charts. Taylor was named Artist of the Year at the Billboard Music Awards last month.
