NEW YORK (U.S): Brooklyn Muslim cabbie convicted of arranging “honor killing” of daughter’s lover’s family A Brooklyn cabbie who felt humiliated because his daughter fled an arranged marriage, was convicted Thursday of directing the revenge murders of her lover’s family members in Pakistan. The jury deliberated less than one hour before reaching a verdict against 61-year-old Mohammad Choudhry. Choudhry was charged with murder conspiracy in the so-called “honor killings,” which were carried out to restore his honor. The father did not show any reaction to the verdict and waved to family members with both hands then saluted Judge William Kuntz as he was taken from the courtroom. READ MORE
