NOW CASTING: Unsung Hero for OWN Network. REFERRALS ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED!! Please tag anybody you know that would be a good fit for this. All submissions, please email me: sarahmcdowd@gmail - Details below: CASTING VETERANS AND THEIR SPOUSES AND FAMILIES FOR OWN PROFILE ON UNSUNG HEROS! (Only looking for families in the greater Los Angeles area.) Each promo will focus on one of the families and their unsung hero, i.e. the spouse or family member of the serviceperson that was the rock at home while the vet was serving overseas. The questions will focus on how the unsung heroes stayed home and managed to keep things going strong while their military spouse was away from home serving for their country. This can include people from any branch of the military and any conflict. The Vet must be back home now. Large families and those with extended in town are great. The immediate family will be paid $1500 total for a one day interview and shoot on or around the7th of March. They will also receive a professional portrait shoot free of charge for the entire family. We want to hear YOUR story! Vets nominate Your spouse, friends nominate a family you think has a great story. We want to feature heros that served our country, and the unsung ones that deserve unrecognized credit at home. ****To apply please send a family photo, an individual photo of the vet as well as the unsung hero at home, contact info, confirmation of availability and a backstory of your situation. Please explain who was home, what the situation was, any unusual circumstances they overcame, where the Vet was serving and when, names and ages of kids and how they were affected or helped out, other family members that are near and could give testimonials. If you are nominating someone make sure you explain why they are truly an Unsung Hero and deserve recognition.
