NTV Uganda has continued to abuse its ethical conduct by permitting a serialized and well calculated PR pieces by Andrew Mwenda in its prime time of NTV News @9pm. While Mwendas pieces are dragged to the viewership relevance, they are in most cases not related to any current news pieces of the day meaning they are a well calculated analyses well intentioned for crowd manipulation. while Mwenda is entitled to his opinion, he should be treated as any other opinion otherwise we risk feeding all Ugandans on his thinking right or wrong. Mwenda being who hes, in the Kigali administration, he cant be the best person whose opinion to rely on in the affairs of Congo. The other day he was discussing Museveni rule, he forgot and bragged about his links to the first family- meaning hes not the best person to reckon with on a fair transition talk. NTV, your credibility is at stake if you dont revisit some of your editorial decisions. Mwenda should be free to give his opinion but fixing his opinion in the national news means you are making him a compulsory subject which in media is unfair. Remember his topics in most times are not connected to the news of the day. If his time is paid for...then theres a better way to bring it out before it puts your credence in a disrepute.
