NWS Missoula says former Western Typhoon Flaxai with deep subtropical moisture will move into SW Montana Sunday night into Tuesday morning. .50 to 1.50 of moisture is possible and some of this could be in the form of heavy wet snow which means there could be 1 to 2 of mountain snow and 3 to 6 of valley snow and if conditions are just right some valleys could see 12 of heavy wet snow. Needless to say there are flooding concerns with this set up. There is still some uncertainty on timing and intensity but confidence is growing for a high impact weather event for our area over the next 72 hours.
