Name a popular, contemporary song that really moved you with its lyrics. There are a lot of bands that are popular now that I think are great: Cold Play, Mumford and Sons, etc. These bands are bands that are really big, and I respect them and enjoy their music. However... Just occurred to me that I dont know what a single song is about. Is it possible that to have a hit song you have to write vague and ambiguous lyrics? I mean, the songs SOUND emotional, the SOUND meaningful and dramatic, but are the lyrics really that deep, or are they just dramatic cords and big dynamics?
