Native to North America, this animal has a rather interesting history of representation in folklore. Its representation modern Anglo American literature, has often met criticism from Native American writes, who claim that the former culture uses his antisocial behavior and more obscene antics over his role as a wise and benevolent leader. The animal had a more heroic role in indigenous american culture, credited with things such as bringing fire to humaniy and slaying monsters by petrifying them. He is also shown to be somewhat of a trickster figure, often acting as some sort of a social hero by emplyoing deception and humor. Identify this rather wily and shrewd animal.
