Nearly half of the world’s population- more than 3 billion - TopicsExpress

Nearly half of the world’s population- more than 3 billion people- live on less than $2.50 a day. More than 1.3 billion live in extreme poverty (less than $1.25 a day). What constitutes human prosperity is subjective, because it is based upon individual pursuits of happiness. What constitutes basic human needs can be partly subjective, but mostly objective. It only takes so many resources for the average human to stay alive and healthy. Standard of living should be something that is equally shared among the entire human race. When the human standard of living is risen by a discovery or invention of some sort, everyone should equally be able to share that advantage. So we function as one global family. Our world is constantly changing, and therefore needs and wants are constantly changing. We should all be coming together to encourage a system that is open to change and open to trying to maximize human standard of living, and thus hopefully the level of individual happiness, without destroying our natural planetary habitat we require to survive.
