New Year - New Owners! Matt & Garry are very pleased to announce that Ocean Turtle Diving will have new owners from 2015! As some of you may have heard, Ocean Turtle Diving Ltd has been sold and we are very excited to pass the dive centre on to the new owner Kerrie Eade. Kerrie formally takes the reigns on Monday 22nd Dec, with the dive centre re-opening on 5th Jan 2015. Firstly Garry and I would like to say a massive thank you to all our customers and staff for their support over the past year... and what a year it has been for us and Ocean Turtle! Garry and Sarah are now settled in Lanzarote having purchased Dawn Dives Academy in the Hotel H10 Rubicon Palace. They have now recently opened their second Dawn Dives centre on the island at the THB Sun Tropical Resort. They have some great packages for diving holidays, you can contact us to arrange a visit. Silvana and I are relocating to Brazil to open a new dive centre just north of Rio de Janeiro in Buzios.... we all hope to see you one day. Of course we will keep you posted through Ocean Turtle as Kerrie continues to grow the business and especially the travel side. So... Introducing the new team at OTD, new owners Kerrie and Stuart Eade, and centre manager Hattie Montague. Kerrie Eade is a PADI Instructor and most recently worked on the South Coast of Spain as an instructor and marketing manager for a local dive operation. She lived there for 15 months with her husband Stu, and their two daughters Bonita (4) and Sirena (2), returning to the UK just this week to take the reigns at OTD. Kerrie has a variety of experience she hopes will help her to continue the success of OTD, from running her own business in the building trade, several years working in financial services and even writing a Haynes manual! Shes been diving for 12 years and has been a PADI professional for 10 years, and has dived in such diverse places as Mexico, Cuba, Galapagos Islands, Zanzibar, Western Australia, Maldives, Red Sea, Spain, Sicily and of course the UK. Stu is a firefighter with Hampshire Fire and Rescue and works out of Basingstoke fire station. He has been in the fire service for 16 years. Whilst the family were based in Spain, he has been commuting back and forth and so is looking forward to seeing a lot less of the North terminal Gatwick! Stu is an advanced diver and is working towards his rescue diver and has dived in the UK, Zanzibar and Spain. He originally trained with Ocean Turtle Diving back in 2004 and is looking forward to assisting Kerrie in all aspects when his shifts will allow. Hattie is also a very keen diver and will be filling the role of Centre Manager at OTD. She trained with Kerrie out in a Spain whilst on holiday and is relocating to Basingstoke from her home in Somerset. She has some great experience to bring to OTD including working in retail and many customer facing roles, and is passionate about diving and photography. Kerrie and her team will be looking to bring a whole host of new ideas to OTD and looks forward to meeting you all soon.
