New Years Eve is probably the worst time of year for my - TopicsExpress

New Years Eve is probably the worst time of year for my depression. As it gets closer and closer to the end of the year, I slip deeper and deeper into a miasma of self-pity, reflecting on all of my failures and missed opportunities. Therefore, I hope that youll bear with me while I engage in a little bit of positive self-talk. Thanks. This year, I had the opportunity to build a new weekly comedy show from the ground up, until it became a vital part of the stand-up community here. Through Mars Comedy Club, Ive been given the privilege of growing new comics as well as nurturing my peers. Not to mention the mainland talent Ive gotten to perform alongside with or simply watch as an audience member. Building that brand, as well as my own personal brand gave me the credibility to start another show which allows me to not only build up new comics, but also train up new promoters. The relationships Ive maintained with others in the scene also gave me other unique opportunities like acting, or finally starting to dive into the improv scene. Hell, Comedy has even helped me meet a few women! If thats not something to be grateful for I dont know what is. I hope that in 2015 Ill be able to,continue to make the most of my opportunities and Im working on a few cool new ideas to try out already. TL;DR - 2014 didnt suck, cautiously optimistic about 2015
