New years sucked! Tested positive for influenza B and his neck swelled to the point that he couldnt move his neck at all. Screaming for hours. It was awful but they determined it was swollen lymph nodes, and gave him a little something to take the edge off. Fortunately the antibiotics kicked in quickly and he was literally bouncing back within 48 hours. I was so thankful to the ER staff who listened to me and got him back immediately. With JDM things like tumors, strokes, and cancer are possible. With Tristan being so extra JDM unique I silently panicked alone with the technician when they did a sonogram on his neck looking for anything unusual. His lymphnodes could have abcessed easily and would have required surgery but because of the power of prayers of many friends and family members and his strength he came back shockingly fast! Please continue to pray that his immune system is protected while he goes to school. Also, the next few Fridays will be filled with Drs appointments in KC and an infusion. Hoping we get all good news, no more surprises for mom and dad please! Please continue to pray for our little warrior. Happy new years to all!
