Next week will mark the first time that our bechor/eldest child is not with us for the Pesach seders and for the entirety of the holiday. Yes, we are sad and his absence at the table will be strongly noted, but we are happy that Avi is experiencing Chag Haaviv in Israel. In fact, he will have experienced every Jewish holiday -- major and minor -- in Israel since mid-August. And what an experience each holiday mustve been. He will be back in mid-June, just in time for another terrific holiday -- his 19th birthday!
