Nilima’s good girl identity was attacked after she was caught experimenting with cocaine. Now she is faced with the brutal reality of being stigmatized as a drug user. However, amidst Nilima’s anguish she finds her true self. After reconnecting with a childhood friend and discovering a family secret, a panoptic view of life was presented. Nilima ultimately learned that she is not the only victim of society’s status quo, for everyone has their own battles, struggling to maintain a facade, which masked their insecurities and darkest secrets. This film portrays the duality of mankind against the backdrop of island life in Trinidad.
