No real changes on the light freezing drizzle coming to central - TopicsExpress

No real changes on the light freezing drizzle coming to central and eastern NC, southern Middle and Southeast Virginia tomorrow night and Wednesday morning. I updated the specifics and touched up the locations at wxsouth It still looks like the Triad to Triangle region of NC will be hit with the coldest temps at the surface overnight tomorrow night, and have the longest period of precip (drizzle) and the actual totals wont be high, but anytime there is freezing drizzle or light freezing rain, and temps are 27 to 29 degrees, like in Greensboro , Raleigh, Danville to South Hill, Roanoke Rapids, then road conditions are bad...the tiniest amount of drizzle in those temps makes driving very dangerous. Further south, toward upper SC, southern NC, the temps are a little warmer, near 31, 32, 33 for the GSP to CLT region...so its a close call there. West of the Apps, the Cumberland Plateau to southeast Kentucky may have enough cold air and just a brief period of drizzle tomorrow night as well. Keep an eye on your temperatures in this event and drive safe. As always, late minute changes could alter the edges of my map I issued yesterday, but overall the coldest temps and most moisture looks aimed for Greensboro through eastern NC, Southeast Virginia.
