Nominations are now being accepted for the 2014 Victoria Leadership Awards, a 10th Anniversary Event! Until Nov. 30, this is your chance to nominate a hardworking friend, colleague or neighbour in one of 8 prestigious community award categories. Award Categories Open for Nominations: • The University of Victoria Community Leadership Awards acknowledge outstanding leadership in linking UVic and the community for greater public benefit (up to two awards per year). • The Rotary Community Leadership Awards recognize community leaders who meet Rotary values of the highest levels of ethical behaviour in business and in the community (up to two awards per year). • The Vancity Youth Award recognizes a young person between the ages of 20 and 30 who demonstrates leadership in the CRD by helping to redefine wealth in a way that furthers the financial, social and environmental well-being of our members and their communities (one award per year). • The United Way of Greater Victoria Award for Collaboration & Partnership recognizes an individual leader in a non-profit organization who is building community capacity by creating partnerships and collaboration (one award per year). • The Royal Roads University Leadership Excellence through Coaching and Mentoring Award recognizes long term and outstanding service in community leadership roles through coaching and/or mentoring - professionally or informally (one award per year). The Victoria Leadership Awards are a partnership between Leadership Victoria, The University of Victoria, the Victoria Foundation, the Rotary Clubs of Greater Victoria, and The United Way. The aim of this event is to honour inspired leadership by recognizing and celebrating those who have made a lasting contribution to strengthening Greater Victoria communities. By highlighting their contributions and commitment at this event we provide inspiration for the next generation of emerging community leaders.
