Not sure what people dont understand...? Mike Brown was given a simple order to leave the street, didnt comply, and then attacked an officer in his patrol car. His attack left the officer nearly unconscious, another blow could have left him unconscious, and after just having struggled with Brown for his firearm, even a untrained person should assume once unconscious Brown could have gain access to his weapon and could have used it against him. So when or if Brown did make any advance towards the officer, naturally he is going to defend himself as if his life depended on it. I dont have all the facts, however if it is true that when the officer attempted to exit his patrol car Brown forced him back in, then the officer was at an extreme tactical dis-advantage from the beginning of the situation. Im willing to bet you cant convince a officer you dont know to even talk to you while sitting in his/her squad let alone this situation. You can make it about race all you want, but the shooting is going to be justified and there should be rioting police everywhere if he is charged with a crime. Before you try the race card look at facts, officer vs. multiple suspects, and or officer size vs. suspect size, and or officers ability to fight vs. suspects condition. It could have been race driven but the facts arent going to include the officers feelings towards other races unless it can be proven that he previously made this known. I say it was a good shoot, the officer felt he was in no condition to continue to fight, knowing if he stopped his weapon could be taken. Cops dont fight fair and criminals dont follow rules race isnt gonna change those facts.
