November 24, 2014 In all the years that I have worked with Sister Sponsa and watched you all grow from little tykes to grown responsible men and women I have never had to address anything like the following. You all know that you are in the middle of an Ebola epidemic and you all know that this disease has NO CURE. We have been so proud of each of you that you have been following the rules that will keep you safe. I have found the following video on line and it worries me deeply . Your senatorial candidates are now campaigning until the middle of December and the crowds are tremendous. As you will see in this video so many are in close contact with one another in the heat of the African sun. You have been so blessed up to now---not one case of Ebola and not one death. I have only one big question--How can you attend these daily rallies and become so apathetic and complacent about your own health and the health of all the residents on campus and off. Please stay away from these gatherings as you are in grave danger. Your health ministry is telling you to stay away from crowded places and the politicians are encouraging all to come to their rallies in an attempt to get your vote. You will even see that they are bribing young people like yourselves to wear T-shirts with their candidates pictures on them .Liberia is far from Ebola free. Please continue to protect yourselves from this deadly disease. Hospitals are now half filled because people are caring for their sick at home while other family members are digging graves next to their houses. In the end all become infected. Life is so fragile. Please protect yourselves. God Bless+
