Now heres an interesting conundrum. Rand Paul presumably respects the notion of federalism. In Milton Friedmans definition of Classical Liberalism, that government power should be 1) limited, 2) distributed, and 3) balanced. Currently the voting rights of convicted felons are defined state by state. In some you can vote as soon as your sentence/probation is finished. In some you can appeal to have them restored. In some the chance of a violent offender getting to vote again is no way, no how, not ever. So does Paul want to override the laws of... how many states?
