Now that I have your attention Id like to personally apologize for tricking you. Well, Im not entirely sorry, I had a great time with it. That being said: No, Louis CK was not at spacebar last night. Whats the point Alex? Well the point was to: 1. Play a fun prank that would go viral in Orlando and 2. To let you know that this is a possibility when you support local comedy. If youre like me, Im sure youve wished you could have seen a famous comedian just starting out, and in Orlando you very much have that chance. Dozens of people who started in Orlando are now a big name in the comedy scene in a lot of other places BUT Orlando. Why is that? Why did these people have to leave to be relevant. I dont know, but its something we can change. The Orlando Indie Comedy fest put us on the map as a comedy city, and further support could make us one of the best. Anyhow, Im frequently asked when my shows are and even though I post on here and tell people in person, I dont see much of a turn out for it. Im not trying to guilt trip you, Im just asking to support a scene. I know you have your reasons for not coming, and Im not asking you to come to everything. Please, quit asking, start coming. Art is very important. Comedy is very important. Be part of art in Orlando, we need you, and I love you.
