Now that peach season is in full swing, we would like to share some of our recipes that has been popular among our customers! ------------------------------------------------------------------ NAN’S PEACH PUDDING CAKE recipe courtesy of Janet (Moncrief) Gray, of TN (formerly Bridgeton)! Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups of self rising flour 1/2 cup sugar 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg 1 egg beaten 3/4 cup milk 3 tablespoon oil 1 lb. sliced peaches (about 3 or 4 med. size peaches) ! Topping: 1/4 cup sugar 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/4 cup butter !! Sift flour, sugar and nutmeg. Blend egg, milk and oil. Add all at once to dry ingredients. Stir until batter is smooth. Pout into a greased 8x8x2 pan. Arrange peach slices over the batter. Sprinkle with the combined sugar and cinnamon. Dot the top with the 1/4 cup butter cut in small pieces.
