THERE ARE HUGE VOLUMES OF DIFFERENT TYPES OF CARGO THAT NEED TRANSPORTATION WITHIN THE WEST AFRICAN SUB-REGION (NORTH AND SOUTH BOUND) BUT NO VESSELS. CARGOES INCLUDE TRANS SHIPMENT OF CONTAINERS FROM DAKAR DOWN SOUTH, FROZEN AND DRIED SALTED FISH (KAKO) FROM MAURITANIA, SENEGAL, GAMBIA, AND GUINEA CONAKRY TO IVORY COAST, GHANA AND NIGERIA. SALT FROM KAOLACK (SOUTHERN SENEGAL) TO FREETOWN AND NIGERIA, CRUDE PALM OIL FROM ABIDJAN TO SOAP FACTORIES IN WEST AFRICA. WOOD FROM SAN PEDRO (IVORY COAST) AND MONROVIA TO GAMBIA, SENEGAL AND MAURITANIA. OTHERS ARE PLASTIC AND ALUMINIUM WEAR AND NUMEROUS OTHER INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTS. DAKAR IS AN ENTRY POINT INTO MAURITANIA, MALI, GUINEA BISSAU, AND GUINEA CONAKRY. TOO MUCH TO OPPORTUNITY IN THE SUB-REGION. UNFORTUNATELY, THE SWEDISH OWNERS OF THE VESSELS I WAS OPERATING SECURED A VERY MAJOR CONTRACT IN SOUTH AMERICA SO THE VESSELS WERE SENT AWAY.
