OK. Last year, literally just at about 12 months ago, we were excitedly charging ahead on an over all massive home improvement project that would have just about updated every room in our home. Little did we know, that we were to shortly lose the funding (which is a long story for another day) leaving us hang in limbo, with unfinished rooms, half finished projects, and several rooms in our home literally piled to the ceiling with lumber, construction supplies and stuff shoved around from other rooms. One of those rooms was, unfortunately, our art studio. And there we have stuck, with no funds to proceed quickly, although we are slowly working on things we can do ourselves, such as finishing the flooring, etc. This weekend, we firmly took the dilemma by the horns and dug out the studio. There are still some boxes to go through, and things to sort. But its been pulled back around to a working studio for both of us! (And, boy, are we tired! This resembled hosing out the Augean Stables...) Cindy has her beading and polymer clay supplies organized. Im sitting here right now at the table, and MacDubh is contentedly asleep on his sheep skin next to my easel, and chasing things in his sleep - happy dog dreams! Now to sort the painting supplies out, see what I have or might need, and hopefully start painting within the week or so! (Remember, when you look at the picture, still a little bit more sorting to go, but theres a light at the end of the tunnel!) God, its good to be back!
