With a distribution deal, ALTHOUGH you may have global outlets and sales opportunities, THERE IS NO MARKETING AND PROMO BUDGET being offered... SO, you sign the deal and release the music... How much you sell falls entirely on you. You would be SURPRISED how many artists are utterly confused about this kind of stuff. Do some research, hire a manager, etc etc. IF you spend money in the studio or on equipment, fly gear, kicks, blunts/booze, etc. THEN YOU MUST spend money to promote and do publicity, pr, etc.
