OK Sherman lets go back 51 years (!) to 1964. Peter Asher and Gordon Waller met in school. Peter and his sister Jane were child actors, and appeared in a 1955 episode of The Adventures of Robin Hood. Jane started dating Paul McCartney in 1963, and wrote A World Without Love for Peterand Gordon, and the rest is history. It reached #1, followed by a string of hits, including this one (also written by Paul) which reached #12. They disbanded in 1968. Peter became a successful record producer. Gordon was unsuccessful at a solo career, and by the mid-1970s was selling copiers. They reunited in Las Vegas in 2008, and performed together until the following year, when Gordon died suddenly of a massive heart attack. Did you know that I Go To Pieces was written by Del Shannon?
