OK folks lets not forget that there is a supervisors meeting and two public hearing that affect your rights on the agenda. The fire ordinance notice was not sufficient to inform as to what was going to be updated or changed in the ordinance that might affect our rights. The two notices are in the Feb.28, 2014 WMI right one above the other. The notice for the zoning item is easy to understand as to what is going to happen. The fire ordinance notice is not. The first hearing related to the powers of the community development director. It was noticed so insufficiently that the acting chairman did not even know it was a public hearing, and had to be told it was noticed as a public hearing. The notice for the commission the public could not tell what was being changed. Unlike the notice for the supervisors hearing which a person could tell what was changing. So it raises the question that if I was wrong for the commission hearing why did they get it right for the Supervisors hearing? And why does the Supervisors agenda say PUBLIC HEARING? . Also it is never on the P&Z commission as a public hearing. Aside from the FACT the commission never follows its own rules when hearing or holding a public hearing. The second hearing for the fire ordinance was not noticed sufficiently to inform and should be tabled until such time as the proper legal notice is published.
