OK so a lot of folks here are suggesting this Holder move is a play to nominate him to the SCOTUS. I think there are some legitimate arguments to be made in favor of this, but personally I think this would be an impossible move. Eric Holder was held in contempt of Congress and will soon be under significant investigation over Fast & Furious. Yes, its true he is virtually untouchable on that front and wont face jail time, but the poison that will soon be associated with him will be so nasty there is no way possible he could be nominated to the SCOTUS. Now I know this administration likes to surprise us with what we thought was impossible, but this is not a move I think will happen. If Obama wanted a radical leftist to get into the SCOTUS, he wouldnt need Holder. There are a plethora of radicals out there he could choose from. In my view Holder is done. Hes damaged goods and Democrats, especially in this electoral climate, would NEVER confirm Holder to the SCOTUS. There is certainly a lot to be concerned about these days, but Holder getting to the SCOTUS is, in my view, not one of those concerns.
