They told WAFA that residents found a notice posted by the Israeli army on the mosque walls, threatening to take over the land and properties surrounding the mosque under the pretext of military reasons, stating that the land will become under full army control. Abdul Hadi Hantash, an expert on settlements in the Hebron area, said that the area surrounding the mosque is one of the most vulnerable locations targeted by the Israelis in an attempt to implement their settlement plan of turning the heart of the city of Hebron into a city for their settlers and to completely isolate the Ibrahimi mosque from its Palestinian surroundings. english.wafa.ps/index.php?action=detail&id=24077
