OUTAGE UPDATE: At this hour, about 11,500 PUD customers are w/o power. Crews that were the first out into the field during the storm last night are now required to take their first 8-hour rest period, but they’ll be back on the job by daylight Saturday. We anticipate making substantial progress on reducing the number of remaining outages then. About 20 other crews will continue working through the night tonight and into tomorrow. Currently, crews are working on larger outages near Paine Field, at the north end of Tulalip and on Camano Island, and they’re also working on a large number of smaller, isolated outages throughout the county. If you’re still without power, know that we’re working as quickly as we can to get to you. And don’t forget that if you’re using candles, make sure they’re all out before you go to sleep tonight.
