Observe that the True Value (TV) of a thing, is the benefit we CAN - TopicsExpress

Observe that the True Value (TV) of a thing, is the benefit we CAN derive from its worth, but the Functional Value (FV) is the benefit we practically derive from it- at the time. For instance, a man buys a phone say a Samsung Galaxy Tab X4, which has a variety of functions including the ability to scroll in sync with the way the operator rolls his/her eyes amongst others, but all he does is, to MAKE and RECEIVE calls and SMS.Then the question from the above analogy becomes... Whats the value of the phone?Youll agree that the True Value of the phone is the worth of the phone, the True Value of the phone is all the phone can do (which makes for the worth), but the Functional Value (FV) of the phone to the man is not different from what a Nokia torch phone would do.So it is with our lives, the value of your life is not in your worth (thats all you can do-your potentials) but in your Functional ability, your Functional potential... Thats what you do with what you have.Notice, People dont pay you for what you can do, but for what you do with what you can do.Thats why people dont pay you because you have a good voice, they rather pay for the songs you do with your good voice.Point: Its not enough to be able to do it, go ahead and do it.Remember he that does not read is not better than he who cannot read, and he that does not do is not better than he that cannot do.Good morning.
