Occasionally I tackle logo designs, branding and other stuff. This is a patch design for the 70th Air Refueling Squadron. You can see the preliminary ideas from which this one was hatched. Characterizing an Orca and providing a cartoon plane are some of the challenges given. It needed to be cartoonie, aggressive with yellow and blue being the dominant colors overall. Also... the plane needed to be their plane... the KC-10 Extender with appropriate patches and such. ..Ive always thought it amazing what these guys pull off in the sky refueling jet planes while in the air.
