Ok - heres the thing. Im trying to save money when I travel, so I thought Id take handluggage only for my Cyprus Ryan Air flight on Sunday & my Gran Canaria EasyJet flight in December. The weight of 10kg (Ryan) & Unlimited (EJet) is fine, but they have reduced the bag size to only 20cms deep. (BA is still 25cms). My actual baggage is 20cms, but there is a front pocket (empty) which makes it 23cms. I have been assured that I will be charged £60 EACH WAY to put it in the hold. I cant find luggage thats only 20cms depth in total. Its ridiculous. Have they done it purposely? So much for travelling light & on a budget. The alternative is to go for a normal big case & pay £20 each way (ie £40 extra) in advance to put it in the hold. Or maybe Ill take a rucksack & wear 4 layers of clothes. What you think?
