Ok--Im sure youve been waiting to here about Phoebes first week of school--so heres the recap. Monday we went to the school, to re-meet the teacher, since spring was a long time ago when Phoebe first met her at registration. We love Miss Johnson very much. Tucker had her for preschool also. But this year we shall say an extra prayer for her every day for her Phoebe time. (Refer to the look on Ps face on her first day of school pic.) Every morning has been an argument of what to wear. Im not THAT picky--but no you cant wear pjs to school and no you cant wear shorts that Im pretty sure are Lylas and not yours. I am pretty disgusted that she wont wear the new outfits I took her shopping to pick out (in hopes of not arguing about getting dressed every day), and I am very glad I got her nasty silver boots all the way out to the burning barrel a couple weeks ago so at least we are not arguing about that anymore. She wants to wear the flip-flops that have Oles teeth marks in them, but so far she has agreed to wear her new tennis shoes everyday. Now, for preschool, kids need to leave a new clean set of clothes in a plastic bag in case of an accident. On Monday, the night before school started, we took the bag and left it in her cubby. She cried and screamed that she HATES those clothes and is NEVER going to wear them. My answer to her was Never pee your pants or spill your milk and you wont have to--problem solved! Daddy got her to leave the clothes there. But on Tuesday, the first day of school, she brought the bag of clothes home in her backpack. She said, quite matter-of-factly, I hate these clothes and I told Miss Johnson I am taking them home to burn them. Well, I dont think she burned them, but I havent been able to find them. She packed other clothes and took them to school. I hope they are in her cubby. And I hope they are clothes that fit her and not Lyla. I should probably call Miss Johnson.... Other than that, she says school is great, except that she has already had enough days of that for a while. And snack is the best time, except for the day they only got plain animal crackers. Week #1 down; 35 weeks to go....and then 12 years....Any volunteers to take this girl prom dress shopping?? Have at it!
