Ok, I will swallow my pride and give yall your funny for the day....then I will go start chores. Went to the hospital in Macon for tests this morning. Had to park in the parking deck. No small feet considering my truck size! Couldnt find a parking place on bottom (entry level ) deck so up, up to the third (C) deck. Ah hah! Found a space between a white SUV and a black pick up truck. Go to the elevator, WRITE down the level and row. Go DOWN to Womens Center . Go inside, see doctor, get tests......get GOOD news. Back out the door, to the parking deck, to the elevator and UP I go! Get off elevator on the C deck. Go to the center row (there is only three rows per deck), go to truck.......NO TRUCK!!!!!!! I take a DEEP breath, double check my note for deck / row and proceed to walk ALL the decks! NO truck, anywhere! Finally a very sweet lady came along, saw my panicked expression Im sure, and offered to call security to have them come and get me and drive me around the decks to hopefully find my truck. Not a security guard, but a police officer appears! (embarrassed)! Then I have to get in the BACK, of course. Can yall see where this is headed? We drove around ALL the decks all the while mashing the alarm thingy on my keys. After NOT finding my truck, the officer heads towards the gate. (By now I am almost in tears and feeling hopeless). Instead, to my relief, of going out of the gate, he turns and goes DOWN, DOWN to the BELOW entry level. Yes, you guessed it! There was my truck !!!!!! I was mortified ! Totally, completely mortified ! Glad to find my truck, dont get me wrong. The officer just turned around in the seat and gave me the BIGGEST smile and said, I guess you at least had the vehicles that were parked next to you right! Once I was safely in my truck, apologizing all the while, I broke down. RELIEF, tears of relief! Overwhelmed by the GOOD test results, finding my truck, and just thankful for the nice officer. Needless to say, he had a very funny story to share during his lunch break. And I suppose the only excuse I have is that I was terrified going in to have the tests and what I feared the results were going to be and became completely disoriented. I guess the level and row I wrote down were the last ones I saw when I got off the elevator! Yall have a blessed afternoon!
