Ok, Update time ... (Sorry! had to charge my phone.) Dad had been sick - vomiting, diarrhea, yay. He became progressively weak and tired. Then he began passing/vomiting black sludge = blood. He told mom he needed some help, then he collapsed. He was cold and white as a sheet. Mom thought hed died. She screamed for Scott Sanders to call the squad. Steven Yoakum and mom KimandSteve Yoakum Elizabeth Young, and I all got to the hospital asap. Hes still not really conscious. Hes asleep - but like he cant come out of it. He slept thru getting IVs, catheterized, exams, X-rays, CAT scans, etc. The cat scan showed nothing. His blood sugar was over 500. Its back down (?not sure on a #) He was severely dehydrated. The internal bleeding (apparent by the bloody vomit etc.) has caused his hemoglobin to drop to a 7 (should be 12) So, they gave him a blood transfusion. Hes had 2 liters of blood and some plasma. They are supposed to have GI testing done to see where the bleeding is. (Could be as simple as an ulcer - but because of the blood thinners, its a big bleed) Hes snoring right now. He finally has some normal coloring in his skin and lips - he was pale and grayish. Hes finally warm to the touch. Earlier he felt very cold and terribly close to what you feel at a funeral home.... So, please keep up the prayers! He needs them! Mom needs prayers for strength. I will try to update again as soon as I know anything.
