Ok a day to forget. First thing this morning I pull into work only to run over a nail and get a flat tyre. A quick drop off into national and all is fine after a repair job. Great. Head off to Portree around 5pm for the start of our holiday only to have about 65 miles left when a strange ticking noise starts coming from engine along with smoke/steam/fuel. Pulls over, doesnt sound good. AA to the rescue, aint good, sounds like injector. So a nice long drive to Portree on the back of the wagon. Gets to the garage to find one of the mechanics there, great, real off the story and that were off to York on Saturday morning etc only for him to turn around & say if its needing any kind of part it aint getting done till Monday. WTF a great start to the hols, plus out of pocket on 2 other hotels plus extra on staying here. Fingers crossed for a quick repair and we get on our way, only it looks doubtful. Still, positive thoughts n all :-)
