Ok my electronically intelligent and geeky friends. Need help.!!! Dont say it, lol its not that type of help. Hahaha. Can you put updated internet stuff onto an older desktop computer that has Windows 98 on it, along with the old AOL dial up and MSN? Need those removed. There is nothing wrong with this computer. Its actually pretty awesome. But, if I cant use it, then I have no room to keep it. The only thing Id be using this computer for is embroidering. Which, is whats holding me up on finishing Addisyn and Alexs quilts. I have a Futura SES2000 sewing machine made by Singer with an amazing embroidery attachment. Just have to get the darn software installed. However, it wouldve been great had Singer provided a software cd without glitches when I purchased the machine. Which, is the other 1/2 of my dilemma. I actually have the necessary Singer software in our old laptop computer and it worked great until it fell and cracked its screen. Resulting in the screen being permanently black. Therefore, I cant retrieve it if I cant see to do so. ( Singer has software on their website that should fix the glitches on their original cd as its downloading. However, I must be able to access the website to accomplish this. Their easiest solution: Have them send me a new cd without glitches. But it would cost me in the neighborhood 100.00-125.00. Uhh, NO!) Which makes no sense since their original cd is faulty. Itll make me sick if I have to purchase a new desktop just so I can embroider. Thats out of the financial realm of possible solutions. So, this has to work. Please Lord. Its agrevating enough to know things like this happen in this family quite often. As nice and generous as it was, I wish theyd thought twice about it. Since they never used it, Stuarts dad gave Stuarts son Josh their somewhat new laptop. Theyd had it for about 2 years, yet it was still in its original box. Only to have him literally destroy it within, I think 3 weeks. Absolutely sickening, especially at this moment. Uuuhhh!!! Please, I pray this works. Wish me luck and if someone has a solution or knows this can be done and how to do it, please please please let me know. Thank you.
