Ok so I have a couple of questions for yalll. One I know I saw about on a thread a while ago but lost it, the other I havent seen yet and I think its cause im differently abled and I may be the only one that has this type of problem. For the second question youll need a lil background and Ill try to keep it short and sweet. 6 yrs ago I had a stroke (didnt know what it was till almost 5 yrs later) that left me with ramped uped vertigo, dizziness and right sided weakness. This is on top of others such as being blind in one eye and deaf (i do wear hearing aides that help, usually). I ride in an English seat for everything in a dressage saddle. Extreme trail, jumping, posting trot you name it. When I ride I tend to sit shifted a bit to the left, this increases with fatigue. Heres the problem: When riding a canter or a long distance trail ride I can often end up with an open area on my sitz bones (the spot where you thigh meets your bum) and it HURTS!!! (sorry for the guys here as this may be more info than you were lookin for LOL) I have tried wearing boy shorts under my breeches, regular undergarments and well nothin under the breeches. All with the same results. the latter seems to work the best but most breeches either have ribbing in them or are made stretch enough that there is still the friction from sticking the seat. Any suggestions on breeches or riding jeans or anything like that that may help. I have heard of the padded undies but Im thinking with my issues I may not be able to feel my seat then. the second question involves carrying my phone. I have heard people putting them in your half chaps, pockets etc. I dont have much padding so when it goes in my pocket it digs into my pelvis. If i put it in my half chaps its just enough weight to throw me off balance a bit and if i need to reach it my concern is that Im going to get dumped. (you know you NEED to take that trail shot RIGHT NOW! LOL) I havent done that, YET but its me so its only a matter of time LOL Im looking for a way to carry an iPhone 4S or whatever comes out next, on a trail on my person that wont impeed my riding. OR in the arena. My horse has scrapped me off on the arena wall while at a canter, barn manager was there, thank heavens and called my trainer (one trainer -aka barn manager- to another! rated me out! LOL) but that got me to thinking and its been a year since he dumped me and I still havent found a solution... any ideas, anyone???? THANKS!!
