This week’s Family Devotion… “7 Questions” Hear and Memorize Together: Read and Memorize Proverbs 3:5-6 Be Together: Where are you in your walk with Christ? Take some time this week as a family to work through the 7 questions below. Let me suggest a question each day. Day One: Are you getting to know your Heavenly Father personally as you talk with Him and the Holy Spirit helps you understand the Bible? 2 Timothy 2:15; 1 Thess.5:17; Ps.1:1-2 Day Two: Do the important people in your life encourage your walk with God or tempt you to stray from Him? Nehemiah 9:2; 1 Cor.5:11; Romans 16:17,18 Day Three: Do you think about others and their needs before you think about your own? 1 John 3:15-16; John 15:13; Hebrews 10:24 Day Four: Are you more interested in helping, than getting the credit for it? Luke 10:25-37; Phil.2:7 Day Five: Do you see God as creator (and ruler) of this universe? Genesis 1:1; John 1; Psalm 102:25 Day Six: Would you ever consider giving the Lord less than the #1 spot in your life? Matthew 10:37,38; Matt.16:24,25; Galatians 6:14 Day Seven: SO, are you living a DEVOTED life to Christ? Acts 2:42-47 Pray Together: Spend time praying through the question for the day. (For example, from question 2: “Father, help me to surround myself with people who will encourage me in my walk with Christ, and help me to be a good witness to those who don’t.) Apply Together: Being devoted to Christ is a life long journey. What can you do this week strengthen your devotion to Christ? Memorize God’s Word. Join another family for ice cream. Take time each day to pray for a neighbor or family member.
