Okay...I am a little pissed. This has nothing to do with Ray Rice, Ray Rice is OVERRR! The city cannot coordinate its silly ass enough to put in properly measured bike lanes, Make Bike Share a reality, Get a casino to pay their own way, put up proper signage at the harbor bike lanes (something a little under 9 feet would be helpful), get law enforcement to enforce bike safety (this is an umbrella smack down), Keep existing bike lanes clear and useful (insert photo of bumped out bike lane travesty). BUT...BUT...it CAN include bicycling as a viable way for tourist to enjoy this weekends Star Spangled Spectaculah-Spectaculah. I received a heads up email form building management here in Locust Point yesterday, and interestingly enough, bicycling to and from the Harbor is suggested. Hey they even painted stencils with pretty boats and the words Star Spangled whatever...whatever on the road. On Key Highway, or rather Key Interstate? Key- I dont even like riding on it during populated times because these drivers freak me out and I commute every day-Highway. Maybe this is about Rice- Cause, just like the NFL, this City will sell out everyone for one more Dollar. I am not anti celebration, I am, though, completely sick of the way shit gets done around up in here. I call Bullshit. Baltimore get your act together, and join us in the 21st century, where bicycling is a reality*.
